5th Grade Math Project - Design a Decimal Board Game

Today saw the start of the 5th graders first math project of the year. Over the course of the next few weeks they will need to work to create a board game using their knowledge of decimals. The first deadline is the draft of their game board by November 7th. This PowerPoint outline the project.

Week of October 13th

I'll be out of school this week, from Wednesday until Friday, joining the 6th graders at Echo Hill. Mrs Liotta will be covering my 5th grade class; Mr. Ewen and Mrs. Duncan my 8th grade class; and Mrs. Burdnell my 7th grade class.

Solving two -step equations is a combimation of the four rules of equality that we looked at yesterday. It is usually easier to undo any addition or subtraction before undoig multiplication or division.
